Grand-Schlop

The forest bears and city bears have officially finished season 2 of the Schlops of Power!

It was quite an eventful season. Sauron disguised himself as Annatar to get Celebrimbor to make 7 rings for the dwarves, but the ring caused Durin the elder to become too greedy and led to him leaping off a cliff to fight a Balrog. Elrond and Galadriel argued about if it was wise to use their ring, and in the end Elrond decided to use it to heal Galadriel after she leapt off a cliff to get away from Sauron. Farazon became king of Numenor by acting like a giant eagle was endorsing him, and Elendil escaped to go to the west part of the island after the Queen gave him the sword Narsil. Isildur fell in love with Estrid but then left her behind because they wouldn't let her on the boat to Numenor. The Stranger found his staff from a destroyed tree of the Stoors and then learned his name was Grand-Elf, or Gandalf. Also, Arondir got to meet a female Ent - cool!

Now is the hard part where we have to wait until Season 3 to see what happens next in Middle Earth.

Hey you Shire guys,

Whoa - us bears have long appreciated how much of a Tolkien aficionado Stephen Colbert is - and yesterday he announced with Peter Jackson that he is developing a movie that will cover chapters 3-6 of the Fellowship!

https://variety.com/2026/film/news/lord ... 236698684/

Stephen's show is ending in May so that means he will have plenty of time to work on the movie!
The film’s official logline reads, “Fourteen years after the passing of Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin set out to retrace the first steps of their adventure. Meanwhile, Sam’s daughter, Elanor, has discovered a long-buried secret and is determined to uncover why the War of the Ring was very nearly lost before it even began.”

Lord of the Fox

Hoo, chapter 3 is my favorite part of Fellowship and I can't wait to see who they will get to play the fox!
A fox passing through the wood on business of
his own stopped several minutes and sniffed.
‘Hobbits!’ he thought. ‘Well, what next? I have heard of
strange doings in this land, but I have seldom heard of a
hobbit sleeping out of doors under a tree. Three of them!
There’s something mighty queer behind this.’ He was quite
right, but he never found out any more about it.

Hey you Aragorn fans,

I'm sad to report Viggo will not be reprising his role as Aragorn in The Lord of the Schlops: The Hunt for Gollum. Who do you guys think should play the role instead? Me personally, I could see Michael Cera really bringing something to the part.

Viggo is only 67 years old - and in the book Aragorn lived to be 210 so Viggo is not even that old in Aragon years.

Lord of the Lotus

Whoa, that was fast - Nibs already had the scoop for who is playing Aragorn - it is Leo Woodall who played the evil British boyfriend in Schlop Lotus season 2 in Italy. It made me wonder - what would it be like if they combined Lord of the Schlops with the Schlop Lotus? Here is what chatgpt came up with:

Strider Correction

Hey you Frodo fans,

We here on the Schlop forums strive for accuracy - so I must correct the record that Leo Woodall is not in fact playing Strider, but rather a character named Halvard. Strider is being played by Jamie Dornan - who hosted the 2nd episode of SNL UK and was also in 50 Schlops of Gray.

Here is the rest of the cast:
Andy Serkis as Gollum
Ian McKellen as Gandalf
Kate Winslet as Marigol
Jamie Dornan as Strider
Leo Woodall as Halvard
Lee Pace as Thranduil
Elijah Wood as Frodo

We humbly regret the error and will be sure to vet all casting rumors with more scrutiny in the future.
