While Lee and I were at Pescadero this weekend, Lee's friend accidentally got to watch Keanu and Trinity ride a motorcycle through the streets of SF!

The Matrix 4 is still happening round the clock out here. They seem to do a lot on weekend nights!

Anysneech, some friend of a friend of Lee's reports that Keanu works out at her gym and she has seen him 5 times!

Hi you Zion fans,

We are now getting the hang of this Matrix 4 film schedule and realize that all the biggest stunts happen Saturday night in the Financial District.

Lee and I haven't been free on a Sat night since the Matrix 4 started shooting but we are next weekend- maybe we'll try to go scout it out and see for ourselves!

Meanwhile Lee and I are busy keeping a 2 year old alive while her parents are bringing her younger sister in the world. But there are good foodstuffs here and lots of other stuffies to play with (including 2 gund bears- one brown and one pink) so that's good news.

PS Zela's best friend is Mela and her Mom is Lisa, who works in lighting for major motion pictures when they come to town. Yesterday Zela and Mela and me and Lee and Lisa went to the park and we were excited to get some Matrix 4 insider tips but turns out Lisa was staffed on Venom 2 entirely and doesn't have any Matrix 4 tips for us. So close!

It seems the Matrix 4 has wrapped up its shooting in SF and will now move on to shoot in other locations.

The wrap party happened yesterday. Oh dear!

I guess this ends my ability to get the scoops on Matrix 4. Too bad we never got to see the action ourselves or meet NPH or Jonathan Groff.

Wow! Yesterday us bears got to watch the new Matrix trailer together live on zoom - and then we watched it again frame by frame!

Peaches was very excited since he just started watching Bound yesterday and was able to spot an Easter Egg reference to Corky from Bound and her labrys tattoo - which the muckety-mucks at ScreenCrush totally missed. Nice spotting Peaches!

Nibs on the other hand failed to spot Jonathan Groff which means Nibs was docked 5 Frozen cred points.

It's still pretty mysterious what the plot is, but it seems like Neo is back in the Matrix. There is a plan formulating that us bears might rewatch the first 3 Matrix movie before December 22nd to be prepared for this one. Exciting!

Wow - both bear enclaves watched The Matrix yesterday and found it still holds up!

Morpheus and Neo really had a special connection. Morpheus had been searching for so long to find the One and he was convinced it was Neo - but how did Morpheus find out about Neo in the first place I wonder?

There has been lots of interesting bear discussions going on after watching The Matrix the other day - in particular some bears have brought up some fascinating questions.

Peaches was curious how time works in the Matrix - since Agent Smith mentioned the Matrix is set at the peak of human civilization does that mean time never moves forward in the Matrix?

Then Nibs pointed that when they set off the EMP to kill the sentinels it would also fry all the electronics on their ship.

Hopefully the Schlopchowskis will patch up all these plot holes in the future movies!

Oh wow wow wow!

We are drawing ever nearer to the premiere of Project Ice Cream and the bears are getting so excited!

This week we watched The Matrix Reloaded, which had different receptions in the different bear locations. The Forest Bears were filled with energy and ran circles around the bed all night long. The St Louis Bears couldn't keep their eyes open and narcoslept through the movie and had to watch it in installments. HOO HOO! Such a range of bear impacts!

We tried to piece together the complex plot of Reloaded and learned that Bane is evil because he was possessed by Agent Smith who left the Matrix and entered the Zion-realm. We never knew that before!

The St Louis bears found a good plot hole by pointing out that if Neo goes to the source and restarts the Matrix, what would happen to the people in Zion?

There's a lot we are hoping The Matrix Revolutions will explain. But we might need to watch that in 20 minute chunks since it's so sleep-inducing.

Meanwhile a new trailer came out (and a strange 1 minute teaser). Duddles spotted less bunnies and bears are shying away from watching too closely as to not spoil too much. It does seem to show that Jonathan Groff will be the new villain Agent Smith type character. And I've put together a wild new theory that actual sunlight is a powerful symbol of humans gaining power over the machines, so I'll be paying lots of attention to which scenes happen at night and which are happening during the golden hour.

Anysneech, it's fun to spend a few weeks sharing this fictional universe together! Fuzzah for this two year journey of tracking The Matrix Resurrections that is nearing completion!

(Oh yeah and it's premiering at The Castro Theater on Dec 18! My favorite spot. If only Omicron wasn't in play, I'd be tempted to sneak in! But that's exciting that Keanu will be back in town.)

We are now officially less than a week away from the fourth Matrix movie! So far the bears have rewatched the first two movies and then the Animatrix anthology film. The Animatrix is a real mind melter which confuzzed some bears. I was keeping a close look out for any clues and found two that are sure to play a major role in the upcoming movie.

First is a poster advertising a flying car the machines built with the slogan "Time to Fly" - which is exactly what Baby Morpheus says in the trailer!


Second, is a recurring rubber ducky motif in the haunted house story "Beyond". First there are two duckies in the girl's apartment:

Then in the haunted house there is a rubber duck innertube:

Rubber duckies are obviously very important in the upcoming film based on the trailer where Neo takes a bath with one on his head:


Also Nibs found a reference to the Red Queen in "A Detective Story" which is mentioned in the song in the trailer Duddles likes so much:


I think us bears are really close to unearthing some major Matrix secrets here!
