Yo comprendo
Ah thanks Lee.
I thought the CAT was sitting in the chair... that PENGUIN looks so much like the cat, what with him being black and white and all.
Makes more sense now. That silly trickster god!

Re: The adventures of Madariaga the Oso
Duddles, here are the translations for you, ososito fuzzio.
I will change Madariaga to "Senor Duddles" for purposes of funniness...

"Look, Senor Duddles, how you can hear my voice. If I speak like this in front of a fan-"
"Enriqueta! Dinner time!"
Cat: "Good Day"
Girl" "You were right"
"Today, Senor Duddles, the cat and the artist of this comic are not thinking about anything."
Trickster God: "Today, a painting from the artist Martin Grabal"
Penguin: "Hullo"
Girl: "And Senor Duddles?!"
"His Mom works for a cable tv show...
That makes toys out of cardboard, milk cartons, paper mache, and lots of love..."
Boy: "Why won't she BUY me a toy?! Just one! Do you understand?"
Girl: "And this? What could this be? We'll see... Don't tell me.... Oh, this gift isn't for me. Senor Duddles, look what Santa brought you!"
Girl: "Hey, Mister who sends us Dreams... no nightmares tonight, ok?"

Ahem.
I have managed to submerge myself in some scholarly work, deep in the archives of this forum.
I've come to realize that in the last 30 posts by young Duddles, he uses the phrase "hoo hoo" in every single one of them, except for 6.
If you look at his last 45 posts, only 11 are "hoo hoo" free.
It's quite impressive really. I highly recommend that you click on "all posts by young Duddles" and observe this intricate phenomenon for yourselves.
His first 45 posts to this forum have a noticeable lack of "hoo hoos," on the otherhand. I am still sequestered with the hopes of trying to formulate a hypothesis to explain this.
I sincerely hope it doesn't reflect any sort of decreasing trend in mental activity for our young friend.

Standing up for Duddles
Hey - I happen to think Duddles is pretty cool. Okay, he tends to ramble on now and then and he sleeps a lot, but he's always been nice to me.
And for the record Rafiki, you have used hoo hoo in every single one of your posts, except for 22 of them.

Answer: This character studied medicine, "knowing it would be useful in long voyages"

I miss Duddles
I like it when Duddles used to clap his paws together and try to catch a finger.
But even when he did... he didn't have enough friction to keep the finger there.
Hoo hoo hoo.

Hi Duddles!!
I like it when Duddles would eat food out of my hand and then when all the food was gone, he would lick the remaining particles of food off my hand, getting every last morsel.

Mister Mister
Hey!
I hear that Duddles has a constant misting device to keep him cool in the summer! I wonder how Petri has rigged that up?
Can the other bears get in on that action?
I wish we had a misting device... but it's a bit too cold here for that.
