Wow what an exciting World Cup finale!

Argentina was up 2-0 in the first half, but in the last 10 minutes France got 2 goals to send it to overtime. Messi scored in overtime but then France tied it again with Mbappe getting a hat trick (that means scoring 3 goals, and doesn't involve an actual hat btw). This led to penalty kicks where Argentina came out on top.

Congrats to Messi who was able to win it all in his final World Cup game, and also to Schlop who will get a McFlurry!

Whew, good thing we have 4 years to recover from such an epic game before the next World Cup!

Tomorrow is the big game and already there is a building sense of excitement among all us bears. Rumors are that Lee has procured us bears a feast of epic proportions - I even heard mentions of puffs, poppers and pickles!

Peaches and Sneeches have settled on a friendly wager - Peaches picked KC to score first while Sneeches picked the Eagles to score first. Usually the Eagles take a while to show up since first Gandalf has to send a moth to them, so that could be good for Peaches.

Also RiRi is performing at the half so I know I will be boogying down!

Sorry this post is over a month late - but us forest bears had a Snuper Bowl for the ages back in February.

Lee scoured every corner of the cabin to make sure every bear would be in attendance. I'm not sure where the turtle came from but Duddles was quite happy to nap on his back.



Lee provided a smorgasbord of deliciousness that accomodated for all the peculiar food preferences of us bears. Check it out:



The bowl in the lower right is cheese puffs and the small bowl above the hummus was mini pickles for PB.
Duddles was particularly excited about his Swiss Cake rolls.

It turns out the Eagles scored first - so Sneeches won the bet, congrats Sneeches!

Oh I forgot that there was also a special surprise treat for the 2nd half - jalapeno poppers!

Today is the final game of March Madness and there is much excitement because Nibs has picked UConn to win it all - and if they do that means Nibs wins the bracket challenge and the coveted McFlurry! Nibs usually favors Villanova but this year they didn't even make the tournament. If the Huskies win it all I wonder if Nibs will switch over his allegiance to them in future years?

Exciting!

Congrats to Nibs who picked the UConn Huskies to win it all - and they did in dominant fashion - San Diego State was barely an inconvenience.

We've also discovered that back in 2011 NIbs also successfully predicted UConn to win it all - so Nibs has a long history of prognosticating the Huskies to victory.

Bears are also buzzing about the procurement of An Actual McFlurry to celebrate sometime this week!

It seems that in the interim between our last actual McFlurry sighting McDonald's has shrunken the size of the treat. But word on the bed is that this McFlurry tasted better than ever!

The Denver Nuggets won the NBA championship for the first time ever!

Duddles has been a long time Nuggs fan and remembers listening to games on the clock radio and now they are actually champions!

Wow! Congrats to the Nuggs and to Dudds!

Yesterday a bunch of bears in St Louis got to watch the US vs Sweden game in Spanish (copa mundial feminina). It all came down to penalty kicks and the bears lined up to keep track of which players got goals. The US had a chance to win it with Sophia Smith from Fort Collins but unfortunately she missed. Then Sweden won it on a crazy goal that was initially stopped by the goalie but then bounced up and crossed the line by only a millimeter. It was the craziest ending to a game ever!

Us bears are sending hugs to the US team and hope they will win it all in the next World Cup.

It was quite a shocker to see Peaches or Sneeches pass over Colombia considering how much they talk about it...
It's too bad the US got knocked out by Sweden, but now that a McFlurry is on the line I am sure interest will remain high!

The finals are set - England and Spain will play on Sunday to determine whether DJ or Sneeches will win the coveted McFlurry! The semifinal games were exciting with lots of goals but unfortunately Sweden and Australia came up short.

Remember to set your alarms for 5 am on Sunday (Muffins time) to catch the excitement of Inglaterra vs España!

Congrats to DJ and Spain for winning the women's World Cup for 2023! Sneeches and England came in second, and Peaches and Sweden came in third.

I'll see you guys in 4 years for the next women's World Cup. Hopefully DJ will get his McFlurry by then!

Wow, what an exciting day of football us bears got to watch today!

Now the Snuper Bowl matchup is set and it will be a rematch of the 2020 Snuper Bowl with the 49ers vs the Chiefs pitting the Forest Bear state against the Arch Bear state.

The Chiefs were able to beat the Ravens thanks to a play where the receiver fumbled right before crossing the goal line, and the 49ers staged a miraculous comeback which involved a pass bouncing off the defender's facemask and then being caught. Wow! Us bears had a suspicion that the Lion's would cool down in the second half - because their star player is the Egyption sun god Amon-Ra and his powers were likely to weaken once the sun went down (it's just science, y'all).

I can't wait for the Snuper Bowl and for all the scrumptious snacks Lee will prepare for us bears! And the big question is - will Tay Tay be able to make it to Vegas in time after her Tokyo show?
