16 days away

Post by Nibs »

Peaches just completed a phenomenal NYTimes streak where he got every single sneechword completed for 349 days in a row!

That's unbelievable! Back during the pandemic it took the combined powers of Sneeches and Peaches together to finish a Sunday puzzle over a long amount of time. Now Peaches finishes them solo while rolling a ball around and capturing flags at the same time!

What a phenomenal streak! Bears rise and give a fuzzy standing ovation to Peaches!

(Sneeches helped with a few alcoholic drinks here and there)

Peaches also got two PBs this week, showing that his sneechword powers are only just awakening and who knows what the future holds.

Bears so proud of Peaches!

Pink Queen

Post by mini-nibs »

Hi y'all - today got a Queen Bee and it was a Schlop-related spelling bee that featured the word PINK. The last word I got was ninepin. Oh also the pangram was beekeeping which is fitting for the spelling bee.

I got my second Queen Bee for June - this one was only 24 words. My last word was meze which appears to be an appetizer.

Queen Three

Post by mini-nibs »

Hi, I got my 3rd Queen Bee of June. Yesterday I was only missing 1 word ("chic") so that gave me extra motivation to get a Queen Bee today - my final word was alkali.

who are the ad wizards that came up with that one?

Post by mini-nibs »

Hi, I got another Queen Bee - this one was only 18 words. The pangram was Wizardry which was a game Duddles remembers us having but the floppy disk was broken so we could never get past the title screen. The last word I got was dray which is a cart used for delivering beer barrels - huh.

Breakout Performance

Post by Nibs »

Just less than 48 hours ago, Sneeches and Dave managed to throw down the BEST SUNDAY PUZZLE TIME yet accomplished by us bears!

They completed the puzzle "Breakout Performance" with a time of 16:49.

This was mostly due to Dave's encyclopedic knowledge of The Shawshank Redemption and how to spell "Dufresne" even though the puzzle makers built a whole circle system to tunnel through some passageways to give you those letters, hoo hoo.

Imagine how fast Dave could've finished if Sneeches hadn't done so much yammering, hoo hoo.
